Most people, when they think of tree services, immediately think of their usefulness for cutting down dead, dying, or otherwise dangerous trees. And it's no wonder too.
Tree services save homeowners millions of dollars a year by providing this service that removes trees that do nothing but add a dangerous element to an otherwise beautiful yard.

But this is not the only function that tree services provide
There are services that certainly do specialize in the singular task of removing and cutting down trees in a safe and effective manner, but this is far from the whole story either.
Many tree services also hire individuals known as "certified arborists". These arborists are like the "vets" of the plant world. They specialize in treating sick, infected, and otherwise infested plants.
When cutting the tree down is not the right option
Some may wonder why this is relevant. I mean isn't it easier just to remove a tree from the yard once it's been noticed that some sort of disease or infection has taken root that may be threatening a tree's existence and making it a threat to the house?
Well yes and no. It depends on a number of factors. One, how immediate is the danger? Is the tree itself threatening to drop branches on your house right away? Does it seem like the merest gust of wind could topple it over tomorrow? Then yes, perhaps having the tree felled is the right option for you to undertake.
